Our valleys are rich in gastronomic traditions and typical dishes, sometimes exclusive to small villages: the Arroscia valley is home to the white cuisine of Liguria. It is a cuisine that takes into account the seasons and the territory, as it is based only on what is available and grows at more than 1000 meters: potatoes, garlic, leeks, walnuts, starchy products and, of course, being the land of shepherds, milk and dairy products. At the end of August, the town of Mendatica becomes the scene of the famous festival dedicated to this cuisine, but every day the restaurants in the area offer typical dishes that will take you back through the centuries, in a typical alpine atmosphere.
Prices vary depending on the restaurant available; on average, the menus are around € 30/40 per person.
