It is no coincidence that the Western Ligurian coast is known as Riviera dei Fiori (literally: “Flowers Riviera”): thanks to its mild climate, the whole area has experienced unique blooms throughout the year since the nineteenth century. And this is why at least two of the most spectacular gardens in Italy are located here: the garden of Villa Hanbury in Ventimiglia and the garden of Villa della Pergola in Alassio. The best season to visit them is definitely spring, but at any time of the year it is possible to enjoy the scents and colours of the great variety of plants from all over the world they can boast.
Villa Hanbury: € 10,00; € 8,00 for over 65s and children 6/14 years, € 25,00 family ticket
Villa della Pergola: € 18,00; € 9,00 for children aged 6 to 14. We recommend booking a guide to help you properly discover these botanical jewels.
